Everything you need to set up, manage, and get the most out of BookMyTokens.
Getting Started
Creating Your Account
Getting started with BookMyTokens takes just a few minutes. You don't need any technical knowledge or special hardware.
- Visit bookmytokens.com and click Get Started.
- Enter your email address and create a password.
- Verify your email via the link sent to your inbox.
- Fill in your business name, type, and location.
- Upload your logo (optional but recommended for a branded experience).
You can also sign in directly from your browser at go.bookmytokens.com — no separate app required to manage your queue.
Adding Service Counters
Counters represent the service points in your business — for example, Reception, Doctor 1, Lab, or Billing.
- Go to your Dashboard and click Add Counter.
- Enter a name for the counter (e.g., "General OPD", "Cash Counter").
- Optionally assign a staff member to that counter.
- Repeat for each service point you want to manage.
You can start with just one counter and add more as needed. There's no limit on the number of counters.
Setting Up Your QR Code
Once your account is ready, you'll have a unique public link and QR code that customers use to take a token.
- Go to My QR Code in the dashboard.
- Download the QR code image (PNG or PDF).
- Print it on A4, place it in a stand, or display it on a monitor at your entrance.
- Customers scan it — they don't need any app or account.
Your QR code link is permanent. If you reset your account, the link changes. Always reprint if that happens.
Managing Your Queue
Understanding Token Statuses
Every token in your queue has one of four statuses:
- Waiting — Customer has taken a token and is in the queue.
- Assigned — Token has been called and assigned to a counter.
- Complete — Service has been provided and the token is closed.
- Skipped — Customer was absent when called.
Call Next, Skip & Complete
Your dashboard shows three primary action buttons for managing the flow:
- Call Next — Advances the queue and marks the next token as Assigned.
- Skip — Moves a token to Skipped status. Useful when a customer is absent.
- Complete — Marks the current token as done and clears it from the active view.
Skipped tokens remain visible and can be re-called later if the customer returns.
Multi-Counter Workflow
If your business has multiple counters, each counter operates its own queue. Customers can be directed to a specific counter after scanning the QR code.
- Each counter has its own "Call Next" control in the dashboard.
- Staff at each counter see only the tokens relevant to their counter.
- The admin account can see all counters from a single view.
Account & Settings
Profile & Branding
Your business profile is what customers see when they scan your QR code. Keeping it complete builds trust.
- Upload your business logo (recommended: square format, min 200×200px).
- Add your business address and opening hours.
- Write a short message shown to customers as they wait (e.g., "Please have your documents ready").
Using the Mobile App
The BookMyTokens app is available on both Android and iOS. You can manage your full queue from anywhere.
- Download from the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in with the same credentials as your browser account.
- All features — Call Next, Skip, Complete, multi-counter — are available in the app.
Troubleshooting
QR code not working? Make sure the printed QR code is not blurry or too small. Minimum print size: 5cm × 5cm.
Customers not seeing updates? The customer page auto-refreshes every 10 seconds. Ask them to keep the page open.
